going to be captain obvious tonight...

St Louis vs Cincinnati
- well was going to take the night off and not play this double but then I checked Carpenter's history against Cincy...wow! Last 7 starts against them = 7-0 with a run differential of 57-10! All 7 were quality starts and he allowed just 6 runs in those 7 games and all but 1 appearance pitched into 7th inning. He's walked just 5 total in those 7 while striking out 41. STL have won 8 of his last 9 starts as he has pitched at least 6 innings in all 9. Cincy wil throw LeCure who allowed 6 hits and 4 walks in 6 innings against the worst hitting club in MLB, Houston. STL are 16-7 after a loss this year and have been hitting really well lately with 44 runs scored in last 6 games. Cincy though are hitting very well right now but haven't touched Carpenter since August 2006.

New York Yankees vs Baltimore
- should be a no brainer here. I love betting on Hughes as he will be a dominant MLB pitcher and loves Yankee Stadium where he is 4-0 in his 4 starts this year with an average victory by 5 runs! He's 2-1 here against Baltimore and pitched very well against them earlier in the season, allowing just 1 run in 5 2/3 innings. His opponent, Bergesen, is horrible and the Yankees beat him 9-1 in the only other game he started vs NYY. Bergesen's ERA last 3 starts is 6.27 which is right in line with his road ERA, 6.28. Opponents are hitting .315 against him and a ridiculous .354 on the road while temas hitting just .201 against Hughes in 2010. Huge pitching mismatch! btw, Orioles are 6-23 on the road
