Actress in popular ’80s sitcom reportedly suffered massive stroke
Actress Rue McClanahan, who starred on the 1980s television sitcom "Golden Girls," died Thursday. She was 76.
McClanahan's manager, Barbara Lawrence, tells People magazine on its website that the actress died at 1 a.m. Thursday after having a massive stroke.
Lawrence tells People that McClanahan "had her family with her" and that "she went in peace."
McClanahan starred as Blanche Deveraux on "Golden Girls" with Beatrice Arthur, who died in 2009, Estelle Getty, who died in 2008, and Betty White.
