Actress in popular ’80s sitcom reportedly suffered massive stroke

Actress Rue McClanahan, who starred on the 1980s television sitcom "Golden Girls," died Thursday. She was 76.

McClanahan's manager, Barbara Lawrence, tells People magazine on its website that the actress died at 1 a.m. Thursday after having a massive stroke.

She was in one of my favorite episodes of All in the Family, the swingers/wife-swapping episode.

one of the best sitcoms of all time, bar none....and anyone who makes cracks cuz you watch it, i could care less.....it might have been about 4 old ladies, but it was far from a chick show....and one of the funniest of all time...

Very sad to see each of them passing so close together...

I can still remember watching Letterman years ago in the late 80's when he had the 10 ten shows of the year 2000.

#1 show....The golden girl

funny then. kinda odd now.
