i know we all want the games in any sport to be on the up and up, but for me i really think with all the money changing hands, i really dont think the games are clean.Just my opinion, you can toss out the stats etc, just watch on certain games the huge money like it was on boston last nite.ck

Stern could give 2 shits about the gambling aspect of game. He just wants the tv ratings to be good enough for higher advertising revenue.

somebody has to explain exactly how all this big gambling money ties in with anybody/anything directly to league before you can theorize that the games are influenced. Of course individuals can have their own reasons as we have seen in the Donoghy case. In order for the league to be in on the fix, the players would have be in on it too. Supposedly 60% of the players are broke 3 years after they are retired, don't you think at least one of these guys would pull a Conseco to try and make some money if it was true?

I doubt many players if any are involved in fixing games. Its the refs that control the game. Like in football, a ref can call holding on every play if they wanted.

Bottom line, the sports gambling world brings in billions every year so when you mix money & humans together, there will always be shadyness & corruption!

No referees in any sport can control the outcome of a game more than those basketball.......

and i'm pretty sure they get paid by the game so the more games the merrier...i turned game on last night with 8 minutes to go and saw about 5 fouls on lakers in about a minute and half maybe and turned it back off...most i have watched the nba this year....
