We're on the same page with this one. Not sure if I'll make a play on the game, but I do know I won't be taking the Joe Public side of the Detroit Tigers.

Definitely on my radar. When's the last time Floyd lost to the tigers at home??? Had to have been 2007 or earlier. Halladay's no-no didn't seem to phase him next outing (3-2 win over SD) but don't see Galarraga having the same mental toughness nor were the situations quite the same kettle of Louisiana shrimp (pre- vs post-BP, lol). GL and give me your read on the Mutts tonight, like'em a lot once again.

I'll gladly eat my words if I am wrong, but I see this differently.

Vegas also knows how people other than the public/squares are going to think.... aka what you all are saying right here, you won't bet Detroit b/c the + money might be a trick.... but maybe that's the trick. Who knows.

I know little to nothing about line movement/line setting... my personal thoughts on this game are more based on the fact that I think Galarraga is going to come back with a vengeance after that last game. What worries me is that Floyd is great against the Tigers.... not the fact that Tigers are getting + money. They SHOULD be, all things other than Galarraga's last game considered.... I'd be more surprised if the Tigers were the favorite personally.

BOL tonight!

Why in God's green earth would you be surprised had Detroit been the chalk??? Galarraga's ERA is half of Floyd's. For the year, Detroit batting 30 points better against righties than Sox, although I'll give you they trail them a little last 10. Detroit's Pen a whole lot better, so what is it that compels you to think Sox should be the favorite? Line opened at what, -128, and I'm seeing -113 at my offshore, yet almost two thirds of ML money on Detroit. I'm like you, don't pay a hell of a lot of attention to line movement, reverse line movement, horizontal line movement, vertical line movement other than a hot date, etc., etc., lol. But I do take notice of funny line movement and this fits the bill if ya ask me.....but again, don't know much about it.

All good points. I suppose I was perhaps putting too much weight on the recent performance of the teams and also the fact that Floyd has seemed pretty dominant against the Tigers at home.

The line movement does seem a bit fishy so I can see what you're saying, but I really don't know much about that stuff and how often the predictions it supplies are correct.

it doesn't fit the bill. if money was coming in heavy on Detroit and the White Sox chalk was going up than it would most likely fit.
