Jeeeezus, feel a little like Bullwinkle after that Sox meltdown last night..."Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat." Also have a little insight as to how Custer felt at Little Bighorn. Well, a loss is a loss, we live to fight another day (unlike Custer).

I've backed Leake every start since the first one in May, and funny that of all those games, only the Atlanta and Pittsburgh games stick in my mind....just can't imagine why. That being said, he doesn't get credit for both bad beats as well he shouldn't. I think most here had Cincy in the Atlanta meltdown game, I know damn good and well I did. But in any event, the guy is having a great season and is a model of consistency. You look at his numbers and he basically flat lines across the board at an ERA of between 2.2 and 2.5 with the exception of L3 which comes in at a whopping .44. Wellemeyer is also a model of consistency....consistently bad at an ERA of 5.72 or greater, and really shines on the road where 1) he hasn't won, and 2) his ERA balloons to over 10. Unusually, this contrast in the starting pitchers alone is what I'm going to base my selection on, as I would give the nod to the Giants for BP and the hitting is nearly a wash over the last 10 games. Wellemeyer has faced Cincy in another lifetime, that being when he was with STL, with mixed results, and the Giants have never seen Leake, so maybe a slight advantage to the rookie.

My condolences for your loss last night. Would have jumped in your thread but thought you'd taken off for class. You know me by now, I don't really watch what anyone else but some here are playing, especially Joe P. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Vegas wouldn't exist if the public was always right, yada, yada, yada big deal. How's it go, "you can trust some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time." I happen to think the Reds are of the "some of the time" category today. Saw your plays, and will wish you the best as always. Out of the bunch, really only eyed one game, and unlike the side (Cubs), like the over again in that matchup.

Thanks Paddy, think we knock 'em out today. Wouldn't have mattered yesterday since the BoSox shit on themselves, but told you Texas was good. Of course, told you BoSox were good also, lol. Hell, if I hit them all, wouldn't be able to swim in my pool 'cause I'd be walking on water, @):).

Mornin JB. Yeah, guess I get to wear the Square Cap today, lol. Hell, public pounded most of what I liked yesterday, as I stated early in my post, and only one crashed. Naturally, happened to be my POD. Yeah, I'll be playing the Johan and the Mets today, just like I was going to yesterday. Love the over in the Cubs/Brewers game as well, but just like to post one a day.....wish I'd stick to playing one a day, lol. How many days till kickoff? (grin)
