Yesterday, reports came out that Nebraska is leaving to join the Big 10, this morning reports come out saying Colorado is leaving to join the Pac 10, whos the next to leave?
Texas- Pac 10
Texas A&M- Pac 10
Texas Tech- Pac 10
Oklahoma- Pac 10
Oklahoma St- Pac 10
Colorado- Pac 10
Nebraska- Big 10
Missouri- not official but Big 10
so what happens to the rest of them???
Kansas
Kansas State
Iowa St
Baylor
will the mountain west pick them up? big east? ACC? SEC? or conference USA?
or could the big 12 take the mountain west or conference USA and keep the big 12 name? who knows
biggest suprise to me is that Kansas is not on any conferences want list, always a basketball powerhouse, won the orange bowl a couple years ago
shocking that no one wants Kansas State either with the sudden rise in the basketball powers and the turn around start of the football program with Bill Synder back

The reason that no one wants KU or KSU is very simple. Too few eyes in those markets. Going to a major conference with an equal split of the pie would take revenue from other schools. This realignment is about one thing. TV contracts. Nothing more, nothing less.

kapper i get that the majority of these decisions is based on football, but Colorado is horrible at both football and basketball, KU is historically basketball through and through, and ur telling me that Kansas City is not a major market? thats y whenever the big 12 championship game or tournament is there, its a madhouse. KU has a colt following in basketball, and everyone started to jump on the Wildcats bangwagon in the NCAA tournament last season, so im just gonna assume that u dont have a good grasp on this. Yes its all about money, but y take a non profitable Colorado to the Pac 10? Nebraska has a great following for football, but no one cares about their basketball program. Nebraska joining the big 10 is a play by the conference to try and force Notre Dame's hand to join the Big 10, but y would Notre Dame leave when they have their own tv contract? Missouri joining the big 10 is just a mindless threat to Notre Dame that they might get left out of the conference, but in reality Missouri will be in the Big 10 since Notre Dame will not come over for football until their tv contract runs out, and y leave the Big East in basketball when they have a good thing going
