Girardi didn't say if Rodriguez would be back as the designated hitter or as the third baseman, but with injuries again beginning to mount for the Yankees, it will be good to have his bat in the lineup in either capacity. Rodriguez's hip injury isn't as severe as first thought, so he should be able to return next week even if he isn't back on Tuesday.
