I have some free time today. Debating on the two. Casino is 40 mins from me, track is 20.

Love live racing, although I don't know much of what I am doing. But like the action in the casino....decisions, decisions

I haven't gone to any of the Racinos here in NY, because most of them are just Slots
They need to bring Table games, Then I will go.

Well the track on a Monday would suck. Nothing but bad cheap broken down nags run on monday.

When I was in California. I went to Hollywood Park. I played poker in the Casino and racebook before the friday night post time. I was in heaven when they would have runners take your bet right at the poker table.

LOL That is a wet dream for me.

But I would always say track. But on a Monday it would be poker all the way.

Jones recipe for a great weekday afternoon and evening:

Choose a pleasant summer weekday w/ both racing at River and Reds nightgame.
#1/ Get down a little action on Reds night game before the 75 minute ride north.

#2/ Enjoy the ambience at the River. Pretty much the worst horses and lowest purses in North America, but a real nice little outdoor tiki bar near the paddock. Great ambience, quite a few knowledgeable and friendly oldtimers to shoot the shit with. Actually still a well maintained and very scenic track.

#3/ Head over to Monmouth street in Newport Ky just across the Ohio River. Eat at Dixie Chili which is the original. Skyline Chili is but a poor imitation of Dixie.
