Me and 2 buddies have been doing 3 way matchups for the past 7 weeks . Whcih ever guy wins the matchup gets 2 points and the guy who finishes second gets 1.

You get a bonus of 5 points if one of the drivers you took wins the race.

We do 9 of them . Basically picking 27 different drivers.

I want to start something new at the Daytona race.

Maybe pick 4 drivers each week and only allowing you to use them twice .

You get there finishing position as points. The lowest score wins . Maybe have a winner each week and then an overall .

Got any ideas ? Its just for small money , bragging rights and to keep some interest in racing.

Nascar ranks right up there with "boringness" as soccer

Hard to do much with only 3 people

We run one at work every year with 12 people, year-long contest.

Draw names for Week/Race 1 to establish a picking order 1-12.

Guy with 1st pick, gets to pick whatever driver he wants first for that weeks race.
So on in order to 12th guy & pick.

Next week guy who picked 1st will pick 2nd, and so on rotating.

Works out with perfect with 12 guys, 36 races on the year, everyone has a 1st pick thru 12th pick three times for the year.
Simply award the points your driver earned that week.
