I went to veneto Hotel and casino in Panama Last night and was surprised to find that you are able to double down on 3 cards if you have achieved 9/10/11

so basically if you have a 4 and 3, and then get a 4 for a total of 11, you can then double down.

This seemed to me to be a pretty big advantage to the player.

They also paid 3/2 on Black jack but hit on soft 17's.

Panama is very nice, skyscrapers eveywhere, beautiful women. with alot of the modern conveniences of home. Of course, i have not had too much time to go out and about and also it has been raining the 2-3 days i have been here so far.

Do they allow Double After splits? doubling on any 2 cards, surrender at all?

Has to be some kinda catch with that. If not, good find

Perhaps you were playing Spanish 21?

If so, I believe the catch is that there are no 10's in the deck. Changes the odds dramatically.

So, they don't take the 10's out?

How many decks? All different times to Surrender. If they offer (ES) early surrender, that is money. That is where they let you surrender BEFORE they check for blackjack..

Depends on the combination of the cards to on what you surrender. Go to thewizardofodds.com and you can print a cheat card.

Guys.... This is real Black Jack.

Guys.... This is real Black Jack.

So is Spanish 21. With the exception that you can double down after your 3 cards and there are no 10's in the deck.. Sounds like thats what you were playing. Maybe they didnt have it advertised as Spanish 21?

If the 10's are in the deck and it IS real blackjack.....you found a small candy store. Not sure of the strategy for a game like that, but you can find it online probably

Doubling 3 more more cards adds +.24 advantage to you. But the hitting soft 17 gives them a -.21 advantage, that is assuming it is 6 deck. 6 decks holds a -.54 advantage. Early surrender you get about a +.71% added, which is HUGE.

Here is a chart for ya so you can caculate your odds on the game. Good luck

Print one of those cards, memorize it or take it with you. Not sure if they allow that down there, but if they do, take it.

Watch for 10's in the deck. The kings, queens, etc....will be there but the 10's are gone.
