what do you think is an appropriate amount to spend on a gift or would you rather just give cash and how much

Depends, close relative 2K, close friend 1K, regular relative 500 dollars, depends on who is getting married and how close the relationship.

i'd say about 5k would be apropriate, as long as you've had a winning week or month betting on games.. if you've been losing i'd say about 1k would be fine

yall really go that high, 5k as a gift? i mean if u have a wedding with a 150 people or so, thats around half a million in gifts lol

No Kidman, 2K tops for me, and that's for that special relative who went out of their way for you in life or something like that.

a little closer to the range i expected, i dont think 50 works, you dont want to give less than what they probably spent on you and your date. I would think a few hundred would work as a gift for a good friends wedding

and it should absolutely be cash. If there is anything they want so much that they would value it more than the money, they would have already bought it

i give 100, 150-200 if i bring a date. not trying to be cheap but no f'n way im spending 500-1k on someones wedding gift.

I give $100 per person ($100 for me, $200 for me + one) for a normal friend/relative

if I'm close I go 2x that

If i'm in the wedding party, $500 minimum
