I really was going to give it a chance, and I even woke up at 4 am to watch the first match. But I kept on hearing this disturbing noise which I thought might be my TV out of sync, so I had to turn it off.
Little did I know it was those ridiculous "bee" horns that were taking all the fun out of watching the match. Never heard anything like that in my life. How could they dare let those things in the stadium?

With a great announcer even tiddlywinks would be exciting to watch.
The Buffalo Sabres, for example, used to have a guy for years who
could make the boring games of regular season hockey a thrill ride.
But nobody's forcing you to watch futbol. So why should you care
when it ends. Go to the great American pastime channel. There's
nothing like that to put a guy to sleep within 10 minutes. LOL

just wait till it gets past the group phase it will get better
group phase overall pretty boring
cause you have some pretty crappy teams playing and with the 3 game thing teams are playing the games of doing what they have to to get by and make it to the next round and such, keeping players fresh, for the long haul of the tournament etc....
after group phase you have higher quality teams on both sides and its win or go home scenerio which makes for much better soccer
other than post group phase world cup, premier league and champions league etc...soccer is pretty hard to watch for me personally.....MLS for instance is pretty much unwatchable for me.....but high quality/talent soccer and toss in everything is on the line for one game win or go home it is great to watch IMO

Spain lost today with a ton of shots on goal bouncing around, it was crazy, I for one enjoy watching soccer & use to play it (not proffesionally)
Go watch the NBA then and fawk off. I watched the opening of game 6 from LA the other night. Lights going off everywhere, lasers flashing about, people dancing around, curtains falling from the ceiling with video shows........HELL I Thought Vince Fucking McMahon was going to come running down from the upper deck with a microphone and start yelling at people about what was going to happen. NBA sucks donkey balls and reminds me a lot of what one would see when watching WWE.

Tried to give it a chance a few times but no matter which way you slice it, it's boring as hell, even a wager on the game wouldn't make it interesting. Can't wait for it to be over with now. I know some of you out there feel the same way.

I like soccer. I appreciate the lack of timeouts and commercials. Some games can be boring as hell. but some others can have you up & down out of your seat.
I do agree that if you don't like it, just change the channel. Bowling is pretty dam boring so I don't watch it, but i'm sure it has an audience.
