The Twins would likely have to give up two premium prospects for what would essentially be a rental, something that would be highly-uncharacteristic for the franchise. Still, any general manager of a contending team should be doing their due diligence in regards a possible acquisition of Lee. Ultimately, we'd be surprised if the team would be willing to surrender a top prospect like Wilson Ramos. A more aggressive team is likely to come knocking.

Twins are loaded with young talent. Would hate to see them give any away to get Lee "short term". As you said it goes against their style.

I would like to see Seattle just rebuild completely. Move Lee, move Ichiro, just a complete over haul. Hope Bedard comes back at some point, finishes strong and deal him in the winter. The Ichiro thing for me is more that I would like to see him playing Baseball in the month of October on a bigger stage. Seattle has a history of making terrible trades. So someone will get Cliff Lee for some prospects that probaly have hidden health issues, etc. Seattle front office and scouts will botch this opportunity.
