Red Sox 2003 series clinching losing game in ALCS, I am thankful I had watched that by myself. (I was very depressed for a few days afterwards) After that, I am fairly sure I can handle anything. Going to watch tonight's game by myself just the same. No money on it, I could go to my friends or a bar, but perfer to be by myself.
Would rather watch every big game alone. Most people just watching the game at the bar are casual fans who have maybe watched 20 games all season and are more about going out and getting drunk than caring about the actual basketball game. I have no problem with that, but I take my sports life and death seriously.
i dont mind going out if i got money on a game. but if its one of my teams playing i gotta be by myself watching at my house. ex. minnesota nfc championship game watched it at home, and after that ending i was so happy i did, i was depressed for a week. mad all week, if i were at a bar i would have ended up punching some tool in the face who talks like they think they know everything about sports...

if i can't be there, i'd rather watch alone at home. i go out to the bar a lot 'cause it's the only social interaction i've been getting since relocating... but there's nothing more painful than having to do deal /w morons who are casual fans and want to actually try and talk about the games.
If I have money on the game, I dont want anyone around me. I watch college football & NFL alone on my 50 inch plasma. My brother drops by to watch NFL sometimes & I dont mind because he bets also. If someone calls on NFL sundays, I never answer the phone. I just listen to the messages to make sure its not an emergency. Damn I love football season & its almost here
