What's your worst bus experience ?

I was on a City bus ( with wife, but that's not the worst part) in Miami, about 3-4 + years ago. Coming back from a day at the beach...normal stuff, rented a scooter rode around, back to an off beach hotel ( TOW BASH).

Riding the city bus back to the Hotel ( packed as bad as I've seen a bus, standing in the aisle.....

driver makes all stops. Some Crip needs on in a chair....that bounces like 5 people if we can't squish back....no room !

I'm close to the white line....

nobody can move....

driver stops, calls a cop....there was one like 250' away.

Copper was about to tazer some peeps if they they don't squish back, or get off for the chair guy.

bad bus ride for me !

yeh , but you be wite !

This Miami thing was bad...Cop was like some bodies are getting off so this chair rides ( or you people move back, more)....it was like it was a routine thing to them. A tasering of the front five standees wouldn't have surprised me. A few people got off voluntarily.

I never saw a city bus like that, makes Vegas look tame !

Oh....I didn't know you were a gambler Mr. Amber lamps.

I was riding the city bus going to high school in Brooklyn and a dude obviosuly sniffed under my armpit as I held onto the above handle.

The Deuce in Las Vegas was awful.

Way too many stops, extraordinarily crowded, not to mention there were annoying people trying to start conversations.

This corny guy was asking every single person on the bus "who is your favorite (college BB) team?" Wanted to punch him in his face.

Taking a cab every time from now on. Actually I'll rent a car, although I couldn't find free parking downtown. Suggestions?

There is an Express Bus running the strip with many fewer stops.

The downtown hotels limit your parking time to something like 3-6 hours free with validation but if you park at a place like Golden Nugget and play there for 12 hours they will of course waive any fees. Hotel guests park free. I don't see why you couldn't valet park for just a tip.

I don't really like a car in Vegas if I'm there to drink and gamble, bus works for me most times or the monorail but that lacks a link to downtown ( and the airport). Cabs get pricey but are good for a few people.

That is weird, I don't know what I'd do in that situation.

I haven't been on a bus ( besides Vegas, or Miami) in over 10 years. It's not even a realistic option to get anywhere here ( CT).

at least in Vegas you can get to the other side of the city by bus if need be, but a bicycle or scooter is a better option if you don't have a car.

At least we had airline seats...but we were also shackled and ate those bologna sandwiches....early nineties; 40 days visiting 5 different federal prisons, one state pen, and one city detention cell...our plane also made numerous stops...

Ah yes ..........Con Air ..........6 of 1 half dozen the other ............we ended up in prison .............sadly ......

My worst was a 27 hour trip from Springfield MO to Milwaukee. Was lucky it only took that long. The driver from Springfield to St. Louis let me stand for 4 hours instead of wai for the next bus. The same thing happened in Chicago.

It was an interesting trip that I still remember, You meet and smell some strange people.
