For having been reported to Microsoft as an unsafe website. OK mods, what's being done about this? Please advise as it took an act of God to make it this far to post.

I got a virus by clicking on a link to "groupon" here. My own stupid mistake but after that I began getting warnings each time I tried to sign on.

FYI......................

There a glitch that the RX Techs are working on.

Nobody is getting a virus..........and those Warnings of a Virus are Only coming from mcafee.

In the mean time, if you have Mozilla Firefox....you should surf the RX with it, and you will have NO problems at all.

I know that yesterday and this morning my iPad has been blur ping on thorax. It would load the forum but as I began to scroll and read it would fart on my and snap me back to the top of the page with a big blank. I thought the page was erasing but it was a large blank gap on the top. I could then scroll normally. Now today I a, here now and every page I load results in a host not found error. It's a little irritating cause I have to click OK on every page I load at the rx. Well only today so far so hopefully the glitch will fix itself in time. I think it's caused by a bunk ad that's not available? I'm no website tech but being able to get my rx fix while on the road is well worth the oks I have to click.

Betall, I'm getting the same warning described by Trader7. It's not from McAfee. It's a warning from Microsoft and it claims this to be an unsafe website where one can get invaded by some form of malware. Scares the crap outa me. But my anti-virus, AVG, is not picking up anything. Weird.

Right, the glitch is with Microsoft IE , saying it is Unsafe. Mcafee is saying there is a virus attached.

Firefox or Google Chrome are fine to use, and you will not get a notice from Anyone.

Perhaps for you, but that didn't work for me! :ohno:

I have followed the explicit directions in order to turn the SmartScreen Filter off of the Rx Forum site:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To add a website to your list of trusted websites and turn SmartScreen Filter off for that site

In Internet Explorer, navigate to the website that you want to add to the list of trusted sites.

1. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.

2. Click the Security tab, and then click Trusted sites.

3. Click the Sites button. The website address should appear in the Add this website to the zone box.
If the site is not a secure site (HTTPS), clear the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone check box.

4. Click Add, and then click Close.

On the Security tab, click Custom level.

In the Security Settings dialog box, scroll to find Use SmartScreen Filter, and then click Disable.
Click OK, and then click OK again.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This doesn't work at all for me! ~~:<<

Instead, I am met with a "security warning" pop-up message that states the following (since I can't do a "cut a paste."):

....................................................................................................................

The current webpage is trying to open a site in your Trusted sites list. Do you want to allow this?

Current site: res://ieframe.dll
Trusted site: http://www.therxforum.com

YES or NO

Warning: allowing this can expose your computer to security risks. If you don't trust the current webpage, choose No.

................................................................................................

I am on Google Chrome as I type this.

Is Rx Tech Support still going to work on these IE issues, or is it foregone conclusion that IE will be abandoned?

Hopefully, they're still working these bugs out. :smoking:

Perhaps, but IE worked well for me in the past here. Just wondering if the Rx will at least try to remedy the problems or will they give up trying.
