Isn't any cc deposit to a sportsbook considered a cash transaction? I don't even know if you can do it anymore from the US (you probably can't). But for anyome who doesn't know.....DON'T DO IT! I did it a couple of years ago and the fees were ridiculous. On top of that it really jacks up your minimum payment. Luckily, I had a low cc balance at the time and it wasn't that big a deal. But if have a balance of a few thousand, I think you are totally screwed. But yeah, I have done it...never again though.

first trip to vegas i was retarded and forgot to take out cash before leaving for my trip, so once in vegas i had no money on me basically, under $100, max atm was around 500 per day, so i had to go to the cage and take out cash from there and get finger printed. it was like a $45 fee on $1,000

i have a friend who got a rather large cash advace but was basically broke as a result of gambling. he lost all the money from his cash advance in a desperate last ditch attempt to win back the money he had lost. he was in deep trouble with the bookie and the bank, and took him a few years to get his life back in order. despite my protests, he started gambling again about a month ago.

I did about 10 years ago in Vegas too when I was still in college and had no money. Think I paid $65 to get $1,000 (and sure I lost the grand too). I also had to pay $150 or so on the cash advance fee to my credit card then 25% interest on the transaction.

Great deal!

this is a big time questionable issue.. but I am sure we all have done it if we couldn't withdrawal from the bank for some reason from the atm or whatever... :smoking:

Sad to say, but I have about 5 years ago. Never again. If you don't pay it off within the next month, the interest rate will kill you.

Oh ya, did it numerous times. The worst was at a casino outside of Cincinnati I think. Pulled out 3k at a time when I could not afford to lose 3k. Have done much more at other times, but then those times never really mattered as I was flush.

For all of those bitching about the fees, I have always had the casino reimburse those fees by just asking the pit boss. Most of the times just handed me chips to cover, but at the absolute worst, I would get a match play. Tell me you guys know to do this!

My point was what gambler that has a credit card has never used it for gambling? If a gambler told me they never used their credit card for an advance to gamble I would have a hard time believing them. It was a lame attempt at humor on my part.
