Good chalk alert : Rays -175 (47-16) June 23

After two days off I see something that fits into a chalk play for me. I like the Rays with Shields on the hill even with his brief relief appearance over the weekend. The Rays should be happy to see Correia after dealing with Latos. It's not so much the pitching that has me confident in the Rays...I expect their bats to wake up on Wednesday night.

since Correia's brother fell off a cliff and died a few weeks back, poor guy just has not been the same......Buddy Black says its not a mental problem for him, but more mechanics........Im not buying it.......

I appreciate the trends, but I balance that out with a few more current factors as well. I got the Rays offense beating out the Pads. Correia's last three road starts have left him with a 8.53 ERA and that is exactly what the Rays slumping offense may feast off of. I know Shields is off his game, but I will take the Rays offense against Correia versus the Pads offense against Shields.
