Standing inline to buy something.......

other than tickets to an event when there is only so many seats to be had I have never never stood inline to buy anything. This comes to mind after seeing on the news people standing inline to buy the Iphone. How stupid get a life people.

Feel the same way....and I never stood in line for Anything in my Life....Not even Tickets for an Event.

Always Paid someone to do that ! :drink:

Good point. WE would either pay for the friends ticket or I would get mine paid for. But I never never ever waited over night or anything like that.

The stores are the ones that need to put a stop to that kind of stuff. You don't need to camp out to buy an iphone and if you do then they should euthanize you.

I've stood in that long-ass line at Disneyworld so my kids can enjoy a day out at the park. Longest and hottest line I've ever stood in. A few rules for next time:

1) Don't go during the summer.
2) Don't go during any sort of vacation week (Spring Break etc.)
3) Always buy the fast pass. Well worth it.

so what do you do when you go to the grocery store and there is no open checkout lane? Walk out after spending anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes filling your cart, because the five to 10 minutes in line is too wasteful?

no no no I mean getting up early and making sure you are in line to be able to get a video game or a phone. Just like the geeks a few years ago waiting in line to buy Windows or shit like that.

My theory is these are people of a certain personality type. Same with the idiots that yell, "get in the hole," at golf matches.

They want to buy something so they get up early and wait in line. I guess you could say get a life but many people waste time doing stupid things like posting on message boards? Waiting in line with a group of friends can be fun, you bond with everyone in line. I don't personally wait in line very often for things although i did to get good seats to the Duke/MD game this year but i dont blame people for waiting in line for a few hours to get something they really want....also wish i had the money to buy an iPhone

If its something you are excited to do or really want i don't see anything wrong with it. Just my opinion tho, people do a lot more stupid things that annoy me but this isn't one of them.
