Report: Marlins to hire Bobby Valentine Hanley Ramirez - SS - FLA - Jun. 25 Jon Heyman of SI.com reports that the Marlins are hiring Bobby Valentine as manager.
Heyman writes that the club has "at least a tentative deal for him to manage." Details of the agreement are not known at this time, however Tim Kurkjian of ESPN.com reported Thursday that the Marlins were prepared to offer Valentine a four-year contract. Interestingly, he's expected make his debut as skipper when the Marlins take on the Mets in Puerto Rico on Monday. Should be fun.
