Mets are playing bad baseball

This is not a boo-hoo thread, I am on the Twins, but you have to score with the bases clogged in the first with less than two outs, and in the second inning Francouer tries to tag from second on a screaming line drive out to right field.
Scouts have to tell the Mets players that right fielder Repko has a cannon.
They teach you when you are 12 years old, don't make the third out running to third.

this is what happens when you have Jerry Manuel managing a team. little things like this that us die hards catch on too get passed over and not reconized because they have been winning and getting great starting pitching and timely hitting. If they do make it to the playoffs and the world is watching and they don't make changes...they will be exposed.

just because they are winning doesn't mean they are playing fundamentally sound baseball. some people will not understand that either and I'll probably get bashed for that comment but whatever. Like I said they have been getting awesome timely hitting but when your in the playoffs facing the best of the best and you don't do those little things well, you get burned.

true, but you won't have to worry about mets screwing up in playoffs as they likely won't be in them yet again.

Garbage is a little extreme.
They play very sound ball, their pitching staff leads the universe in least walks allowed by a wide margin.

And a team can win despite playing sound, smart baseball is the point I was trying to make.
