2nd inning: Sox prevented from getting at least 1 and most likely 2 (or more) runs by bogus interference call, which head-cased Danks for the game
9th inning: bogus final strike-out (even Cubs announcers admit it) prevents a walk to load the bases, which would have led to the winning run at first and the Sox best hitter Konerko at the plate

Puke.

If that's a bad beat, you must have 6 or 7 bad beats of the year each week.

way worst beats have happened this year. ONe I remember being on was Seatle blowing a 4 run lead in 1 inning to teh fucking O's of all teams. The worst beat of the year though has to be people who were on the Reds when they blew I believe a 7 run lead in the bottom of the 9th to the BRaves. Can't get worst than that.

No offense, but I wish those were the type of "bad beats of the year" that I puked over.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:lolBIG::lolBIG::lol::lol:

I say this in a 100% DEAD SERIOUS manner..

This would not make my top 25 Bad beats this year alone. Dead serious.

(And for the record, the strikeout to end the game was swinging.. You are obviously talking about strike 2, but it only missed by inches, this happens 10+ times a game, every game.. And if that were a ball, it wouldn't have even been ball 4.. And even THEN, still down 2 runs..)

Yeah.. I guess sorry for sounding like a dick.. But I mean.. Sorry the White Sox DIDN'T complete a 5 run rally with 2 outs in the 9th? Only 3 runs off the reliever with arguably the best stuff in baseball.. I guess I'm just jealous that THIS is what people get to complain about.. Pure envy..

Ya I had the Braves that game it was unbelievable. I was on the Phillies ML The freaking Twins score 5 runs to tie the game June 19/10 when the were at home playing against the twins and the Phillies were up by 5 runs heading into the top of the 9th innning. The Twins score 5 runs to tie the game and send it to the 10th inning were the score 1 run to take the lead. In the bottom of the 10th inning with 2 outs and no one on base Phillies hit the game tying run to send it to the top of the 11th inning where Minny put up 3 runs and win the game. That was a bad beat with extra insult to injury with the 2 out home run to tie the game only to give up 3 runs the next inning and lose the game. =S

Marmol is a good reliever?

I always see him give up a few runs in the 9th. He is crap.

Highest strikeout per nine ratio in the majors by over 2 strikeouts per nine.. Just absolutely insane. Has THE filthiest slider in baseball. A non-argument.. Coming into this game, he had a 1.64 ERA, and .134 Batting average against. His ONLY flaw is his control, at times he gets nervous, as shown today. (He usually struggles in non-save situations for some reason, but when it got close, he stepped up today.) And even with the walks, his Whip is only 1.12 because he is pretty much unhittable. Finally, this year he has 63 K's in 34 IP.

If Marmol is CRAP , then there are about 4 good closers in baseball ...

He is wild at times, but he gets the job done almost every time....today he was bad, but just take a look back and see how many times the good closers, the Riveras, the Papelbons, the Sorias, the Wagners, the Rodriguez's, get knocked around when they come in a NON SAVE situation....something in their mentality just doesnt get them to bring their good stuff
