The other night my passenger side rear view mirror was stolen, just the mirror, clean cut, no shards of glass or anything like that, and the wire was snipped cleanly as well.

I have a 2006 Chevy Trail Blazer LS, I need to replace the mirror, which in itself is $23.75, no biggie, I can easily reinstall that cleanly, but I can't do the wire job. (I am computer geek by trade, I am not good with auto wiring and stuff)

I want it done right, like I said, I can easily mount securely the new rear view mirror, but without the rewiring, I wouldn't be able to control it from the drivers side.

Like I said, the best I can do for the mirror itself is $23.75, the whole entire side mount at autozone is like 99 dollars, I don't want to bring it in to authroized Chevy, they'll charge me and arm and my two puppy dogs.

What's the way to go here?
Auto Mechanic? Glass pro who knows wiring?

Pissed, that some bastard had to go and rip off my 23 dollar mirror, now I have to go through this crap or risk a 200 dollar (or whatever) moving violation.

I just replaced 1 on my Astro. Amazon has the power mirror of like $43....the 1 that is $23 i believe may be the manual adjustment. Anyway hanging out the new mirror is about 6" of wire and then a block connector.....Sounds like they cut yours before the connector.......So it should be as simple as pluging the new 1 in hopefully......i dont see how you could still see the wire and the connector not still be in there...

I took a thin screwdriver pried back the top of the door panel, that gives u access to the 3 screws holding the mirror and the wire connector....
