I need to replace Utley for a month.
This is what is available at second base from the scrap heap.
I don't want to go trade route, I am thin due to injuries, but still in first place.

Here are my options at second.

Keppinger
Barmes
Schumaker
Punto
Eckstein
Dewitt
The kid from Philly that is playing second now?

Standard roto scoring,

Mets, that was the way I am thinking, Barmes is starting to heat up, and his bat when hot is lethal.

I also have Utley in one my (two) leagues. I filled in his spot with Sean Rodriguez of TB. Assuming he's not available, from your list I would go with Barmes. With Tulo (another guy on my team) out for another month, he'll play everyday and perhaps be expected to produce a little more. His recent stats show he's been doing that. As you know, Utley's been substandard since his hot start. He's picked it up a little lately, but I think Barmes will perform better than Utley had been doing for the last month. My 2nd choice from that list would be Keppinger.

As a side note, my first round pick was Utley. My 2nd round pick was Tulo. My 3rd round pick was Victor Martinez. Each are on the DL. Made a big move the last 3 weeks and went from the middle of the pack to a clear lead in first place. Grabbing Strasburg a month before he got called up helped.

I got Utley in the first, Martinez in the third, I have to use Paulino as catcher now, and yes, Rodriquez in available, and looking at him as well.

I drafted Victor early with the hope that he would be in the lineup nearly everyday and wouldn't need a 2nd catcher. He was last year, playing first and DH'ing on the other days. It hasn't worked out that way. Before he got hurt, I scooped up Miguel Montero (who was coming off the DL) and also grabbed Carlos Santana for a brief time. I was about to let Santana go and then Victor got hurt. As a result, I'm in good shape behind the dish.
