Coglahan didn't touch 2nd base and they called him out for not re-tagging up. Cost Fish a run.

All you have to do is pay attention and these lazy fat fucks can't even do that.

What happened exactly?

Runner on 1st, ball hit to deep center, so instead of actually touching 2nd base, he stepped over the bag and straddled it instead, so when the ball was caught, he retreated to 1st base, but was called out for not touching 2nd base.

I can understand how the ump would assume he touched the base, but replays clearly show he did't even come close to touching the bag and was called out. Next batter Hanley, goes yard.

It's unreal, it's become almost a daily occurence that a professional umpire blows calls, some in high profile games that HS umpires could get right.

Bill,

You are right. This was even worse than missing a guy tagging up early. It was actually a smart play by Cogs. I forgot who is doing the game with EJ, think it is Joe Simpson. He goes, the Braves, got a gift, particularly with Hanley coming up and boom, Hanley goes yard on the 2nd pitch after the blown call and with JJ on the mound, 2-0, might be lights out.

wouldnt the straddling of 2nd base constitute passing 2nd base, so he would need to touch 2nd base on his way back to 1st base even though he failed to touch it in the 1st place. I think the call is right

Yeah, I'm not sure that I'm buying that it was the wrong call, based on the description. If he's past the bag, he has to tag it on the way back. If he's halfway to third, he can't buypass 2nd base just because he missed it the first time around.
