I think it means that you're basically betting on the team to win no matter who is pitching. So if there is a pitching change your bet is still on. If action bets are canceled if there is a pitching change.

You might have only had the action on Pelfrey, so your bet was killed if you didn't have action on Harang too, some books make you select action on both pitchers by clicking 2 boxes. Just a guess.

If you're going to be betting baseball - you should probably know the difference. Action bet means it doesn't matter who pitchers....thus, tonight your bet on the Mets is a loser. If you bet 'listed pitchers', your bet would've been cancelled because Harang was replaced. They would've adjusted your odds accordingly on the action bet.

'action' also means, just having a bet. i.e., 'i bet it cause i wanted some 'action' today.'

viking- i dont believe they adjust your betting line. If you bet action and halladay is pitching at the time at -205 and he gets withdrawn 2 hrs before game and joe schmo replaces him at -120, your bet doesnt go from -205 to -120. The action bet just guarantees you a play no matter who the pitcher is at the juice when ur bet is made

this is wrong...... you will get the closing line when you bet action and there is a pitching change........ if you bet halladay at -220 and kendrick ends up pitching... you will get kendrick at -140 or whatever the new listed pitcher is

They will adjust the line, you will get the closing line on an action play. They will note the line change. Action means your rolling with it, including a pitching change causing a huge line move...

Why, because you are fading a team in a tough travel situation, like an extra-inning game the night before and have to burn up the bullpen. Many times they will call up a minor-leaguer the next day to start, just to have a fresh arm.

You get the adjusted line if Joe Schmo comes in. You're not forced to lay the -205.

Dumb idea. You decide you want to make a play on a game, and then say, "if everything I took into account changes, fuck it I'll bet it anyway, no matter the line."

Wouldn't you want to know who is starting for the team you are betting on? And wouldn't you want to know the line first? Who makes a bet without seeing the line first? Losers do.

It's not like you can't see the adjusted line and decide if you still want to make a play.
