went out to eat last night at a bar. go to this place every so often maybe 2 3 times a month, anyways, have seen this waitress there a few times. she waits on our table, i had talked to her a couple times previous. anyways, said i might as well try and get her number. place was pretty busy though, like largest crowd i have ever seen there, and i said o hell i dont wanna bother her, so she comes over to give me my credit card back and i give her cash for the tip and my number on the other reciept. i felt like a pussy doin it like this but honestly didnt wanna bother a girl flying around waiting on tables.

askin what you guys think. i was with a girl for about 7 years and broke up with her 6 months ago, so im not used to dating to be honest.

my friends and I did this with a buddy at applebees once at college. a group of around 8 of us went out sunday morning hungover as balls to watch a chiefs game, like 6 out of the 8 at the table order the pick 2 entrees and appitizers combo for themself as everyone was starving and so fucked up still. They had to stack plates on top of each other and almost nothing was ever really eaten. all the bills come and we all without really talking about it sign our friends name and phone number at the bottom of the recipts as he was kind of chattin him up during the process of bringing us shit. she ends up calling him that night and they hooked up a few times.

i work at a restaurant and waitresses get hit on all the time, some are just turned off by the idea because some guys are really creepy that come in all the time, so i wouldnt say you took the pussy way out, but you better hope you stand out to her or she saw the phone number early or else you just might be a random name at the end of the night to her

i think i did establish report on the previous visits, and honestly thought she was following me around when i was up walking around. it was one of them things that i woulda felt weird not doing anything at all. like kidman had said, i think i would have felt kinda creepy if i didnt do anything yesterday and came in again and started talkin to her.

mclosin- i didnt think you are the creepy type, we get some older customers that come in on almost a daily occurence, they learn the waitresses schedules and what not bring them gifts jewelry, lingerie, etc

well i guess we will find out guys. i agree if i had it to do again, i woulda just said it and remembered the number and been done with it, still was better then doing nothing at all IMO though.

no kid, im definitely not like that lol. i have seen the girl 2 times prior only, i do think it woulda been pretty lame if i made no move at all.

ny- i wouldnt always say that, the waitress from my story above called later that afternoon when she got off work. It all depends upon whether or not you made an impression before hand and she knows who the number belongs too.

Also depends on how much she gets hit on, personal situation etc. Girls become kind of numb to it (getting hit on) after a while.

o ive seen it work before many times, and fail many times. wasnt like i never talked to her ever and left it. i do think kidman is right about makin the impression. i felt like it did and we wil find out. i just wish i hadnt done it that way because now i really have no control of the situation is all.

it could work in your favor but it could also hurt you if you did make a good impression. if you made a good impression she may be dissapointed by the route you took. and chicks just generally dont make the first move (calling first)

i think either way you are fucked. unless shes a really really cool chick.
