Cubs -106.

Always love fading a pitcher coming off a no hitter...specially one who through 150 pitches. Jackson got rocked in his next start against the Dodgers but it was over shadowed by Kuroda getting rocked as well. I expect the trend to continue for Jackson.

Dempster has been absolutely rock solid just like in his 20 win season but again has been over shadowed by the Cubs horrible play. All that is about to change though. The Cubs are coming into tonights game feeling really good. Winners of 3 of their last 4, all while last night Aramis Ramirez had 2 HR's and 4 RBI and D Lee had a multiple hit game. That is so huge for this teams confidence as they have been waiting for these 2 to break out and it looks like the time is now.

Pair that with Dempsters 3.54 ERA (rock solid 2.17 at night) it all just fits so well for such a low price. :drink:

But Dempster can be A Dumpster in a park like that and vs. a good offensive team like the dbags

one more thing to add here. Dbacks lead the MLB by far in strike outs. Dempster big time strike out pitcher...averaging between 7-9 a game.

Zona struck out 10 times last night.

You are nuts for backing the Cubs...they just seem to completely lay down on a whim. That being said..I am rooting for you since I don't have action on it either way.

your right they do but my thinking is there is a lot of confidence in that club house right now, winning 3 of 4 and Aramis going deep twice last night...I am no nastrodamous but I think the Cubs are about to go on a run.

thanks for cheering.

cubs always have a good half and a bad half. the first half is definitely their bad half. so i look for the cubs to start playing some good ball anytime and they have looked good last 2 games. i think it's a good bet but not sure i would go big.
