Not to start another lebron thread, but you guys have created a monster. The fact that this is being called "the decision" is the icing on the cake.

Nope, there are other outlets that would pick up the slack.

MLB network is outstanding without the double entendres, the slapstick schtick, the "I'm bigger than the event" on air personalities.
MLB does it right.
Other networks do it right also.
ESPN could go away forever, I wouldn't mind.

Unless you have a big dish ESPN US Style does not exist here in Costa Rica. I for one miss the hell out of it. The Spanish language Sportcenters are basically unwatchable for me even though I speak some Spanish, I can't understand the rapid fire Spanish that the announcers use on ESPN Latin America or whatever they call it..

Maybe if there were shows in English like Fox Sports or The NFL Network it wouldn't be so bad but none of that is available without investing in a large dish plus relying on a shaky group of Dish network account suppliers to get a decent signal..

Luckily I am online a lot and get plenty of sports information that way.

obviously they wouldnt be pushing it if there wasnt demand for it.

espn knows what people come to there site for, watches the shows for, and overwhelmingly right now is lebron.

espn is simply doing what it does best, pushing the story that people care about the most up and center.

ESPN does this stuff every summer. There isn't much sports news in the summer the though turn average stories into humongous stories. See also, Brett Farve, TO/McNabb, etc etc.
