Does each CD actually have a specific Key that will unlock the software (lets ignore registering the product for now)?

Or are all the CDs the same with a bunch of different "keys" that will let you use the product (just a different key printed on the packaging)?

(reason being I have a bunch of QuickBooks CDs for the same year with different Keys....wondering if need to keep every CD or just a log of the keys)

any key should work with any installed program. i can give you my key for microsoft office and you can give me yours...they will both work...

yeah any key will work, just make sure the keys aren't already registered. lots of newer software won't update when the same key has been used on multiple installs (adobe, being notorious for this). there are of course ways around it, but that's a whole other can of worms.
