Umm...you forgot to mention this part of the trade:

Minny and Miami will be SWAPPING 2011 1st round picks.

Nice deal by Miami IMO and clears up cap space.

That remains to be seen. Beasely has mental issues. Fact. Perhaps if he takes some medication, he'll function correctly. Wish him the best in the future, but he is a reclamation project at this point.

so the question now is, who's out there for the Heat to sign? A few people (myself included) think Shaq is an obvious choice, although IMO not necessarily a good one (he's old, fat, slow, and could injure himself easily). Who else is out there that might sign a minimum contract?

It's too bad Cleveland has Leon Powe for another year, as he'd fit in great /w this new Miami team.

i believe the minimum is between $800k-$1.1m for a player /w 7+ years in the league (i'm generalizing, but pretty sure that's the range we're talking about).

It will be interesting for sure. Shaq would have to come back for the minimum. His ego will tell him this is his best chance to get back to the finals and beat Kobe and the Lakers. This thinking might come into play.

I suspect that Dwade, LeBron, CBosh will be reaching out to players on their "wish list" to see if they'll make "sacrifices" and play with them.

Once the dust settles on the BIG 3's contracts, you'll see they took less money so they can sign other FAs. Unselfish. All done in the pursuit of multiple championship opportunities.

Stackhouse is a good one... I could see that, he's be very much like what PJ Brown was to the C's in 2008. Any other names that come to mind? I'm really interested, as I don't know a ton of players that are out there.

I know Randy Foye, Josh Howard, and Mike Miller are out there as of today... I could see Miller signing for the minimum.

iverson and mcgrady are at the top of the list imo

Good catch. I'm here in Los Angeles, and rumor has it the Lakers may be making a pitch to McGrady. However, these 2 would definitely be interesting. Not sure if Iverson could exist on the team without acting like a fool with his bloated ego. He would have to tune it down considerably.

this was a horrible move by my wolves. that 2011 pick will be a top 5 pick, i guarantee it. this team is shit and isnt going anywhere for years. beasley brings nothing to the table, and they clear 5 mill.

kahn is an idiot.
