they were on the verge of leaving before they got lebron.

this move by lebron is going to kill business downtown and will put several companies out of business from the loss of sales on game nights that flourished while lebron was playing for them. they dont look like they will compete for awhile now with a tied up cap and no serious players.

seattle is where i hope they would end up. seattle was a great nba market, bennett snuck in and stole them overnight and the didnt deserve that. i know they are big on basketball up there from my past visits.

and st louis just because i know nba would be big there.

there was a reason why dan gilbert lashed out, its that feeling of your franchise losing 150 mill in value in 15 seconds. gilbert talks big now, but will get out when the right offer comes along.

I could see this when Gilbert had the Chinese buy part ownership of the Cavs last season and have to imagine that they are not happy these days

You heard it hear first, they are going to relocate to MEXICO CITY, Mexico. The NBA has a true international agenda and if a team shows, the pitch will be on. That or England since its a fact NBA euroleauge will be in our futures soon. Nothing like having a real NBA team there. Dont doubt it.

Las Vegas would be a good move....

Not even remotley. Please. We had a serious list of problems back when the NBA was pretending to come here. Like infrastructure. See the baseball stadium thhat was never built behind Ballys. Broke ground on it and it was the last thing they did at the site. We were going to get the Expo's if I remember right.

i could definently see mexico city with sterns dream of a global league. europe though i think is 20 +years down the road.

i think stern knows he wronged seattle, seattle will pony up and build that new arena if they can get another basketball team.

i think louisville would be another darkhorse. basketball is everything in kentucky, especially with kentucky and louisville.

but you could also say that with north carolina with duke, nc, etc, and look at the bobcats.

yea they are improving, but its a big dropoff from ncaa to nba in nc at least.

I think Seattle needs a new stadium to meet the NBA's standards for a team and there's no way they'll get one built in this economy.

GTC,

I finally agree with you on something. However, I don't think it will be 3 years, but 5-7 years and the Cavs will be looking to move. Personally, I think the NBA wanted LBJ to stay because it already is bad enough for the league with several teams on the verge of financial faiulre.

Cavs wont need to move.

The Cavs have only Andy under contract I believe after 2011. Lebron, Shaq, Williams, Z, Jamison, etc all come off the books. Cavs will be able to shop for 2-3 top end free agents. Remains to be seen if they can get any to Cleveland, but Cleveland will be one of the few places 2-3 guys can go that year if they want to play the 3 Queen game.

You got a motivated owner who will no doubt end up signing some big name eventually and pull all the stops to make things happen. After Phil Jackson retires next season, what if they make an offer to Jerry West to come on board. It all starts with management. Jerry West can bring together the right chemistry of basketball players and make them playoff contenders. Everyone looks at the obvious in players but often neglect the management style of an organization. It starts there.

Only players that will go there are ones that can't get as much money elsewhere.

Also, Gilbert did himself no favors by acting like a little bitch.

Emotions run high but money talks. Amazed by alot of talk by people saying Lebron took less to move to Miami and win. Bullshit. He's not taking a paycut. He's getting a pay raise. The endorsments he's about to get due to this deal will serve Lebron well.

Cleveland has established itself already with the help of Lebron no doubt, but, they do have a fair core group of players and they can make a go of it. As long as the organization makes a couple of smart moves they'll survive. That's all I'm saying, they'll survive. Cavs won't go anywhere.

jerry sloan is one of the more overrated coaches ever.

people revere him because of his long record but hes never won anything.

if you look at the jazz forums on the net, youll see many people are dreaming of the day he leaves.
