A-Rod was not used in Tuesday's All-Star Game, but Cashman maintains that the thumb issue had nothing to do with that decision. "It's not even worth talking about," the GM told ESPN New York. "I called Girardi and he said the thumb's been bothering [Rodriguez] for the past couple of days, but not the point not to play him." We'll see if he is in the starting lineup Friday.
