I hear their ads on the radio all the time boasting "someone" got a brand new ipad for 6 dollars, or an xbox 360 for 4 bucks. That tells me right there it's some kind of scam.

Yes, I blew about $100 there before I realized it was a scam.

Here's how it works. You have to buy bids. They sell you bid packages. The cheapest one is 30 bids for $27. Every time you bid on an item it goes up in price be $0.01.

Every auction has a timer. The problem is the auctions don't end when the timer runs down. Every time someone bids the auction goes back up to 30 or 15 seconds. I was watching an iPad for 5 hours that only had 15 seconds left. So to win the auction is super difficult. It's more like a raffle. You have to be the last person to bid on an item but people are always bidding and adding more time so it's almost impossible.

Plus I think it's rigged as well. I watch a guy bid $1500 worth of bids on an item that only costs $300 in the store. Does that make sense?

No Good

Agree with everything KingofNicotine said very accurate. They also have some other bs called sniper bids which means everytime the auction hits 0 seconds, the sniper bid kicks in who knows if its a real person so the timer resets. Stay away from there. Like KoN says everytime you bid it costs around 1 dollar and the bid goes up 1 penny.

Oh yeah. This guy that big $1500 on a $300 product would have automatic bidding.

It hasn't been proven but they probably use bots so the auctions never end.

They have to use bots so the auction doesnt end. They dont care what the item sells for because they must make a fortune on the bids. Like you said they only raise it 1 cent at a time.

Just think, what are the odds of you being the last person to make a bid. It's almost impossible.

Thanks a lot guys.So it's not actually a penny auction at all since the bids cost you around a buck a piece with a bid package? So if an item has bids equaling ten dollars then it's really closer to 1k?

Am I correct here?

Yeah. That's how they make so much money. Just go to that site and look at any auction to see if it ends. There's a $100 Home Depot card that has been about to "end" for the past couple of hours.

Yea your right again. Say you can get bids for 50 cents a piece not sure thats possible. For each 100 bids they make close to 500 dollars and the bid on the item is now 1 dollar. So when the bid is 4 dollars they made 2000 already for the 50 dollar item. Then they let the people fight for it. Then you have to be the last to bid. Almost impossible.
