First in North America.
$10K a week is the limit.
Video Poker, Blackjack, Roulette ...poker on it's way soon.
All the other silly crap too.

Odds are said to be equal to Vegas.....VP is 9/6

They gave me a free $10 to try.....lost on the first hand.
I'm done..........just vacations for me to play that stuff.

Talk about straight up sports betting, but legal considerations are pending.

Now those states that are close might jump in.
The other Canadian provinces are heading in that direction.

You have to be in BC to play.
Not sure if IP masking will work.

https://playnow.bclc.com

Give this URL time........they are swamped.

i herd they were in the planning stages a few days ago and all of a sudden they are up and running? Guess they didnt prepare because their servers are getting slammed and the site does not work. As for fairness, they should have a independent 3rd party certify the RNG regularly otherwise I am still bringing my business offshore.

Don't see how there could be any implosion?
Everybody is doing it, governments have just been ignoring it and trying in some cases to stop it.
Look at the size of this site.............we are all breaking the law.
Now it's legal in BC

There is an Indian Reserve out east near Quebec called "Kahnawake" that does have an online gaming commission - but as far as I am aware it is just the Indians running it and technically nothing to do with Canada itself...

Vegas type internet gambling on sports & casino games is only offered from
within Canadian land via an Indian reservation, Kahnawake, in another province,
Quebec. Like in the USA, native peoples seem to have special rights in this regard.

"The UIGEA provides an exemption for native gaming in the United States and the U.S. governments have always shyed away from confronting the Natives over any issue regarding gambling. Canada is no different. The Indian Act first enacted in 1876 and amended on numerous occasions as well as the 1982 Canadian Constitution Act clearly gives natives the right to self government. The Canadian government affirmed this. Consequently Kahnawake has its own schools, police and fire departments, post office etc. And when traveling from Montreal into the reserve it is clear to anyone that the community is completely different than any other city in Quebec. Since 1995 when the Mohawks set up their own police force no outside police ever entered the reserve. This should make businesses feel fairly secure that they are protected from U.S. action. After all, Akwasasne, another Mohawk reserve on the U.S. side of the border, offers gambling along with and the U.S. government clearly has no intentions of challenging them. It would be hypocritical for the U.S. to try and interfere with Canadian native rights if they won't even challenge their own. Similarly, Antigua has made it clear that they won't stand down to the U.S. and have successfully challenged the USTR in the WTO courts. With Antigua and Kahnawake one has 2 jurisdictions who believe in their sovereign rights including the right to offer the product to U.S. citizens and are willing to fight to any degree they must to protect those rights. Consequently, it is clearly an agreement that makes sense."

I wonder if Canadian bank issued credit cards will be blocked there too,
like at foreign based book/casinos.

Not sure what you mean?
BCLC takes all major credit cards to load your account. Way easier than offshore.

Not sure what you mean?

For examples:

1} BETFAIR

a} "Please note you cannot withdraw anything to any MasterCard. These rules are imposed by MasterCard International. (However, you may easily withdraw winnings to your Canadian bank account.)"

b} "Unfortunately your VISA currently blocks gaming transactions and cannot be used on Betfair. CIBC, Desjardins and VanCity Visas usually work on Betfair. Otherwise, please consider an alternative payment method from the left."

2} PINNACLE

Dear Pinnacle Sports Client,
We have reviewed our Declined transaction screen and find the reason your card was declined is because the service is not allowed.
Some credit/debit card companies have made the decision not to process transactions from companies like Pinnacle Sports. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do when this happens.
We are sure our site is working since we have received other credit/debit card deposits today. We can only suggest that you may want to try your transaction using a credit/debit card from a different company.
We are very sorry about this situation. It is, of course, in our best interest to allow as many clients as possible to use our on line credit/debit card system. We understand that this is the most convenient way for clients to fund their accounts.
Pinnacle Sports offers a variety of deposit methods outlined in the FAQ section of our site, including NETELLER.com for all clients.
Again, we apologize for your inconvenience.
If you have questions, please direct them to our 24 hour Customer Service Department at csd@pinnaclesports.com.
Regards,
Customer Service Department

3} MONEYBOOKERS

Not a sportsbook, but similar issues as above.

4} THE GREEK/OLYMPIC

Same same.

More will follow when they see the revenue stream.
Can't stop the internet anyway so might as well get some dough in your area.

The site has apparently been shut down due to a privacy breach. They probably should have waited before launching but just another example of a greedy government moving quickly to make money.

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/cbc/1009...olumbia_bc_lottery_playnow_promotion_loophole

Thu Sep 30, 12:53 AM

VANCOUVER (CBC) - Some people using the B.C. Lottery Corporation's PlayNow website say they've found either a loophole or a software glitch that's giving them easy money, CBC News has learned.

Online gamblers playing baccarat on the site's casino can reliably make almost $100 by playing two hands if they know how, the players say.

A lottery spokesperson said the apparent loophole is actually part of a promotion for the site, in which newly registered players who sign up before Oct. 5 get a $100 bonus deposit in their accounts from the lottery corporation.

Some players say the promotion seems too easy to exploit to be intentional.

If a player deposits $100 of his own money into an account, goes to the baccarat game and bets $50 on both the player and the banker, he essentially breaks even

Because he has wagered $100, however, he automatically qualifies for the free $100 deposit bonus.

The player then has to play the same bets one more time, in order to be able to cash out their deposit bonus. If the player continues to play at that point, he risks winning or losing, according to the normal terms of the game.

If the player stops at that point, he then has at least $197.50 in his account, after a $2.50 commission. The player can transfer the whole amount to his own bank account and walk away with the extra $97.50 after a few minutes play.

The lottery spokesperson, who declined to be quoted by name, said the $100 bonus works because most players do not cash out after one hand, even if they win. The explanation that it's a promotional tool doesn't make sense, according to online marketer Todd Maffin.

"I can't imagine this was a marketing ploy," Maffin told CBC News. "To spend almost $100 to get a customer and hope they wouldn't cash out there are cheaper ways to do it, [such as] buy a Google ad."

There are other reasons to be concerned about the online promotion, said B.C. NDP gaming critic Shane Simpson.

"I have serious concerns about using a $100 incentive to draw people onto this site when we know people already have difficulties around gaming," said Simpson.

The baccarat issue is the latest controversy for the B.C. government's online casino gambling site, the first of its kind in Canada.

PlayNow.com was shut down within days of its July launch for seven weeks after it was found players were inadvertently able to get access to other players' private accounts.

The glitch affected the accounts of 134 players, 12 of whom had personal information viewed by others. Officials did not reveal if any money was misappropriated during the breach.

The lottery corporation lost an estimated $5.4 million during the 36-day shutdown that followed.
