Our (Browns) ex-coach is involved, so it can't be big-time violations, because, well, he isn't big time.

Cheating is cheating, though.

Given what they did to USC, I don't expect them to go easy on them. Also, Butch Davis coached UMiami to a National Title before he jumped ship to the Browns (he had Ray Lewis, Jeremy Shockey, Willis McGahee on that team IIRC).

when kids contact agents, that's more about the kid and the agent, and less about the school or the coach.

however, if it did happen, the kid becomes ineligible and the school has to forfeit games

the NCAA will then add stuff like "the coach did not promote and atmosphere of compliance" and "the school lacks institution control" and they'll turn this into what they call "5 major violations".

such is the beauty of bureaucrats and bureaucracy

Ray Lewis wasn't on that team. Vilma, DJ Williams. 20 1st rounders over a 4-year period.

Kids can talk with agents, til they are blue in the face. Just can't accept anything.

Agents get the blame for so much bs. No way school knows if a kid is involved with an agent.
