If Kobe is able to "play" the Miami Heat in the finals and beats them, it only adds to his legacy and if they lose, well everyone is expected to lose to the Heat now.

legacy already helped, he gained the most by 'the decision' special. almost likable to many of his old haters.

and yes, if he beat miami in the finals, the resume would just grow. and if he lost, well, he's past his prime and lost to the trio.

Lebron definitely took the back seat in that whole conversation about who was better. Yes any meetings between the Lakers and Heat can only help Kobe's legacy....not harm it.

If the Heat win the championship it will always be remembered as the 3 Kings winning it not THE KING.

Back seat in what conversation? I'm not quite sure where James falls but he takes the back seat to Wade - this is Wade's team and Lebron will understand that when the playoffs start - this is Duncan and Robinson but in reverse fashion

I personally feel he diminished his legacy by joining the other two talents AT THIS TIME, but we won't know how their games will change until we get them on a court in a real game.

If James could play like Drik, Manu or Billups in the 4th of a big playoff game I'll give him credit as the best player - until then he's not top 5 in my book

So what you're saying is if a player helps his team win the conference it makes them look good?

Kobe's legacy *should* be determined by what he does on the court, not what others do. . .

this miami heat team will not win this year, too many holes. Chris Bosh is not a great player.. They will not get by Orlando. Dwight Howard will kill them...

That might be true , but he [howard] is not surrounded by argueably the best back court tandem ever put together.

2 Things...

1. Everyone who thinks Miami sucks can ytou please bet them not to win it all? I need better odds on them winning it all, thanks.
2. It definitely does help Kobe's legacy. He's already got 5 and if he ties MJ by beating LeBron and Wade at the same time that is gonna push him into another stratosphere.
