Amare Stoudemire will not play for Team USA this summer due to the fact his insurance policy doesn't cover his surgically-repaired left knee.
He's currently covered by the same policy he had with the Suns, although the left knee is excluded. "He understands," Stoudemire's agent, Happy Walters said, "but he's very disappointed. Amar'e really wanted to play for USA Basketball." The Knicks could have allowed him to play, but don't want to take that kind of risk. Jul. 20
