What pro sport would you play, if you had to pick one?

Assume you have a 7-10 year career, and are an average-above average player and start, but not a super-star.

If I have to start...It's PK in the NFL

If I don't, it's QB in the NFL.

Easy money, ton's of exposure, little downside.

PGA Tour. You can play most of your adult life. Failing that, probably the NFL.

NBA. Guys who rarely play can make 6 mil a year. Not much chance of serious injury either. Football and hockey are way more physical. Baseball has too much travel time and distance.

if i'm a starter for 7-10 years, i will be rich in any sport.....i'd go with NBA...less injuries....seems to be less stressful on the body as well.....shortest games

MLB.
Played the game, love the game, you don't get the vicious hits that could ruin you for life in NFL, the travel in MLB is first rate, and that groupie jack is amazing.

MLB players earn the most money, but a lot of that is because they can play the longest. With a firmly established career length, an above average NBA player will do the best, especially if they time their free agency correctly. Working half as many days is a nice bonus. Since I'm white, being above average would give me very nice endorsements and post-career options

NFL union is way too weak and way too likely to leave the sport with health issues to come close; NHL just doesn't have the revenue to be worth anywhere near the others

If you're only giving me a 7-10 year career, then definitely a professional tennis player for me. Nothing beats the drama and glory that comes with a grand slam tournament for an individual, and my time will be up by around my 10th year anyways.

how does anybody not go with the NBA here. Its a no brainer, and I played baseball through college. The baseball season is way to long and has 162 games plus preseason plus postseason. F-that. give me 82, 48 minute games. and you're telling me I would be a good player but not a star. OK so that means I'm like Hedo Turkoglu. Ya he made $9,000,000 last year. I'll take that

Basketball. Played when I was young and absolutely loved the sport and never tired of playing. Loved playing shut down defense and rebounding more then scoring. Just didn't grow enough. @)

MLB...longevity in that sport...plus most retired MLB players seem to still be in good shape. The NBA produces a lot of bad knees down the road & NFL well.. that's the worst.

NHL followed by Baseball. VD has the best answer though with the PGA.
