May want to think twice about backing the Rays this weekend...

http://www.tampabay.com/sports/baseball/rays/article1110571.ece

God only knows how, but the Rays have lost 17 straight games in Cleveland...the longest losing streak of any team at another's park in the majors. That's mindblowing since the streak held throughout the year TB made the World Series...

And the Indians were red hot last week...winning 6 straight before finally losing the rubber match in Minnesota. May be some good money to be made since Cleveland will surely be the dog in all three games...

I took TB at -150. TB is the better team, Carmona is overrated, and that that streak has to end.

17 in a row? that really is pretty amazing, when u consider for at least the last 3 years, TB was by far the better team, with solid starters.....think they would "accidentally" win one somewhere in that streak

i thought it had to go 5.5 innings and as long as the away team(if losing) don't score and take the lead in the top of the fifth inning the game would be official. but if the away team is losing but scores and takes the lead in the fifth, then the home team has to have another @ bat to be official. if the home team is winning and has the lead after 5.5 innings, it should be official.

Pope, I think most books mark it as official if the home team is winning after 4.5 innings or if the road team is ahead after five full (so I guess my Yankees -1.5 is a winner too if the rain doesn't stop). But I don't think these games have been officially called for the night yet. Still plenty of time for them to get in these final few innings if the weather clears...I remember an Indians game resuming at around 11 pm after a rain delay last year and finishing after 1 am local time. May wanna double check with your book.

JD, i have yanks -1.5 as well, and we need the rain to stop.....we dont win a runiline in a shortended game...the runline, and total are cancelled...only the moneyline is paid in a shortened game, once its official

Thanks JD. I'll guess I'll have to wait and see. I use a local and I'm not sure if he'll even know haha

Under Suspension on MLB.com offical rules it states:

(7) The game has not become a regulation game (41/2 innings with the home team ahead, or 5 innings with the visiting club ahead or tied).

So is it not official? or it is? I'm still at the office and my mind is mush right now from excel shit.
