agree memphis, I've been thinking same thing..now he isn't a gascan, but he isn't what he once was..not an ace..above average #3 starter imo..no ty for the $16 mil AND prospects

Thing is in the cards rotation he would be a 3 starter at best but i dont think you can bump him up over Garcia or Brad Penny when he comes back imo.

ya if i was Cards i would stand pat with garcia over oswalt for sure based on huge salary and having to trade to get him..fuck that

He is not as bad as he is looking. He is just tired of Houston not showing up when he pitches so he doesn't give a crap. After years and years of abuse (Houston not scoring when he pitches) it is very easy to stop caring especially making all that money. Why try your best and pour in all your blood sweat and tears when you know even if you pitch a complete game Houston is not going to score any runs for you. I would do the same thing in retaliation as Oswalt and just not show up...
