Fantasy Football strategy question

We expanded our league from 12 to 16 . We are going with 2 - 8 man leagues.

We will draft separate of each other and draft the same players.

The 2 winners of each league wont play until the super bowl. Kind of an AFC / NFC thing. Possible to have a similar guy or 2 , but so what.

We are pulling cards this weekend to determine the league were in and the number pick we get. We have it set up that you can pick whatever draft spot you want . Meaning that if I draw the Ace , I can say " i'll take draft spot 8 "

Like most or all drafts , we draft 1 thru 8 , and then the 8 th pick drafts 9th and back and forth.

Question : What is the best draft position in an 8 man league ?

i think best position is either #1 or #7 or 8..

I think 3rd. That way you get a top 3 player but don't have to wait until 16 to draft again.

I agree and willing to say 3rd may even be the best spot in 10 man leagues as well. I'm actually hoping to draft 3rd and have a player already in mind.

a guy in our league thinks 3 is the best. i've won from the 2 and the 8 .. i'm undecided

It don't make any difference where you draft, when it's your pick, take the best available player. I have one league I am in with 32 teams, talk about tough, i have drafted 28th, 15th and still have won first place. Just make sure you don't drink to much beer when you are drafting and pay attention. Good luck to everybody this year.
