Alright I've never been to a an NFL or NCAAF game. This year i'd like to getaway for a three day weekend for a College Football game Sat and Pro game Sun. I'm located in NY, I don't mind flying out but I don't want to fly to the west coast, or deep south as it's only going to be a three day venture. Does anyone have any suggestions for a great College Football game, and great NFL game on the same weekend in the same area?

i dont know if ur willing to drive or what u consider "close" but you could see penn state @ ohio state and then go see the bengals @ colts. its about 2 to 2 1/2 hrs from columbus to indianapolis.

In NY, you could do Rutgers/NY Team that is home. Or if you are more upstate (and are a glutton for punishment), you could do a Cuse/Browns combo.

Falcons/Ga Tech or UGA (not too far away, you'd probably fly into/out of Atlanta anyways).

Saints/LSU or Tulane. LSU's atmosphere is pretty good, top 5-10 in the country if they are playing a good team. Saints, defending NFL champs. Can't go wrong there.

Jags/Gators would be good. You'd see a real college stadium and atmosphere...but a shitty/crap pro football organization! About the easiest thing in the world is getting a ticket to a Jags game!!

get a steelers and pitt schedule, see if they play back to back. no one goes to pitt games, steeler games u can get scalped tickets fairly reasonable. plus we have a brand new casino right next to heinz field, literally a cant miss weekend.

Honestly, don't go watch the Pitt Panthers, that is not CFB. You need to go to a Penn State or OSU or somewhere. Atmosphere is what makes CFB.

Your best bet would be a Michigan/Lions game or OSU/Cinncy or Cleveland. PSU/Philly Trying to think of places where the college atmosphere is worth while. NFL any team, any stadium is almost okay.

Thanks for all the great ideas. I think I'm going to look into a Penn St and Philly game.
