Johnson led the NFL in carries last season, so the Titans would be smart to lessen his load a bit this year from a long-term perspective. However, Heimerdinger acknowledged that, "When you hand it to a guy and he's averaging six yards a carry, it's easier to give it to him again."

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Johnson led the league in carries in 2009, and it sounds like he could do it again this year, assuming he holds up. "We’re going to get it to him as often as possible or as often as the defense allows us to," said Fisher. "We’ve done our research and we’ve looked around ... It's not a concern. It’s not an issue of longevity and durability for C.J. It hasn’t been an issue."

Chris Johnson - RB - Titans When asked if Chris Johnson was overworked last year, coach Jeff Fisher pointed out that the running back missed just one practice in 2009.
"I know that after his year last year, there was no residual effect," Fisher said. "Every time he gets the ball in practice, he goes through the line and runs 50 yards downfield. Right now, I don't see wear-and-tear being a factor." Johnson gets behind his pads as well as any back in the league, and he avoids big hits better than any back. Fantasy owners can count on a heavy workload every week. September 10 - 1:44 p.m. ET

Chris Johnson - RB - Titans Chris Johnson is averaging an obscene 7.9 yards per carry out of three-receiver sets going back to last season.
The Titans would be wise to use the formation more often in perhaps the week's most intriguing matchup. The league's top fantasy player is going against a defense that has shut down running backs for six straight years. Johnson has an extra edge with pivotal Steelers NT Casey Hampton in danger of missing the game with a hamstring injury. September 16 - 7:44 p.m. ET

Chris Johnson - RB - Titans The Steelers have only allowed one 100-yard rusher in their last 35 games.
By no means should you bench CJ2K, who is riding a 12-game streak of topping the century mark headed into his Week 2 matchup against Pittsburgh. Although Steeler NT Casey Hampton (hamstring) is expected to miss the contest, it would be illogical to expect a monster day from Johnson. September 18 - 4:42 p.m. ET

Chris Johnson has 75 carries through three games, a rate that could be a threat to his late-season health. Ringer didn't touch the ball in Week 4, but is averaging 4.9 yards a crack with one touchdown on 13 totes. Johnson's YPC is 4.0. "I’m giving some thought to getting Javon some more carries early in the ballgame because he’s been very effective," Fisher said. "We’re switching backs to give (the backs) a break and Javon is making big plays."

Chris Johnson - RB - Titans Chris Johnson (thigh) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice.
Johnson has one career game against the Chargers, posting 179 total yards on 24 touches (7.46 avg) with a score. With Kenny Britt emerging as a legit threat in the passing game, CJ2K should start to see fewer eight- and nine-man fronts. October 28 - 6:11 p.m. ET

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>"We are just not running it," he said. "It is easy for a defensive coordinator to stop the run when you are running the ball seven times. We need to stay on the field and execute plays." Johnson is referring to his seven rushes in Week 12, and he followed that up with 13 totes against the Jags, his second-lowest total of the season. We expect Johnson to get his wish, and with the Colts and Texans on the ledger the next two weeks, a big bounce-back is in order.

Chris Johnson - RB - Titans Chris Johnson partially attributed his disappointing 2010 season to playing through a thigh injury.
"For about six weeks I was banged up pretty bad," said Johnson, who rushed for 1,325 yards after posting 2,006 in 2009. "But in this league you have to play with pain. ... I made it through and the last three games it wasn't bothering me anymore." Johnson's YPC average fell from 5.60 to 4.48. All was not lost, as he still finished as a top-five fantasy back.
