Bay suffered the concussion last week while making a running catch against the wall in Los Angeles. The Mets will check in on him Thursday, then again on Friday. "If there is nothing in terms of progress, we'll make a decision to put him on the DL," Mets manager Jerry Manuel said before Wednesday evening's game against the Cardinals. Bay has an ugly .749 OPS and six homers this season. His absence would mean more playing time for Jeff Francoeur.
