As the playoff race heats up, Sports Interaction betting analyst Al Dannity breaks down some of the weekend’s biggest Baseball games.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />San Francisco has worked its way back above the Dodgers in the NL West but it could all change this weekend when the Giants host Los Angeles. Coming off a series with the Padres, the Dodgers will face the best of San Francisco’s rotation over this three game set. On Friday two-time National League Cy Young award winner Tim Lincecum takes the mound for the Giants. Barry Zito, currently enjoying an 8-6 season, steps up on Saturday before Matt Cain looks to finish the job on Sunday.

This is the time of year when the wheat gets separated from the chaff. If San Francisco wants to make a serious run at the playoffs then it needs to start dispatching its divisional rivals. I like the Giants to step up and do the sweep at home this weekend. Bet on San Francisco and win big with Sports Interaction.

AL East supremacy is up for grabs in Tampa Bay this weekend when the Rays host the Yankees. With Boston losing ground, this is the perfect opportunity for either Tampa Bay or New York to take command of the division.

This promises to be a tight battle and I see both sides winning at least once this weekend. The Yankees should have the edge on Friday when Phil Hughes takes the mound but I like the Rays to strike back on Saturday through Matt Garza. That leaves Sunday to probably decide who takes the lead in the division. The Trop is going to be the difference here. Much like the Metrodome was for the Twins in the past, Tropicana Field is a ballpark built for its home-team. I like Tampa Bay to take Sunday’s game and control of the AL East. Bet on Tampa Bay to win big with Sports Interaction.

The weekend’s other big match-up comes in the AL West where the Angels aren’t giving up the fight. New arrival Dan Haren will take the mound against Tommy Hunter of the Rangers on Saturday. While Haren is an upgrade to the Angels’ rotation, I still like Texas in this series. Hunter has yet to lose a decision and with Cliff Lee in action on Sunday, I like the Rangers to pick up at least two victories in this series. Bet on the Texas Rangers to win big with Sports Interaction.
