(This is not true in all cases but worth noting)

With football coming up you will notice many discussing Fantasy Football, and possibly asking other posters if they would like help finish filling up a league that may consisst of 8, 10, 12 teams or whatever.

But keep the following in mind.

(EXAMPLE)

Let's say I post the following title: I Have A 12-Team Fantasy League With 4 Spots Left. $100 To Enter

This is the thing guys.......

I could simply create a 12-Team league, and advertise that I have 12 openings to try & collect $100 from 4 other posters (or however many I decided) that don't even know me, and I could merely be running the other 8 teams.
So basically you could be playing against just one guy controlling most of the teams and anything else such as trades, etc., to try & win the league with one fo those 8 teams and of course you or the other 3-4 REAL players lose their money & the guy who creatd the league pockets the money from however many teams & others he suckered.

Basically a scam.

If you don't know the poster/person well but especially don't know the other participants that are entering as well, be very careful.

That sounds like a Dirty trick to do.

You're right it is.

But you see my point and how easy it would be to do, right?

A guy says he already has 4 players, 6 players, 8 players, or whatever, if you don't know who those other participants are, they you have no idea who's REALLY running those teams.

Scam-City and I wouldn't be surprised if some online Fantasy Sites have done it.

thanks for sinking my income source hache :(

haha........... No kidman, guys like yourself can be trusted.

It's those that whoever is considering joining & do not know they should be concerned about.

I'm not trying to scare everyone away, just for them to ask a few questions such as who the other participants are, for example.

I've thought of that before

Way too much work for me to bother with just to scam someone out of $5 per week. Much easier to just take the money and not pay out prizes

Wow, there's an idea I hadn't thought of. Like collusion in poker...

I could see somebody like PO69 doing that. Guy scammed the hell out of me last year in the Bonus BetJam league...
