all this ripping on favre is old and annoying and most caused by espn doing 20,000 updates when nothing happens. trust me favre has told the vikings he is coming back, but the vikings cant come out and say that bc of all the shit they will catch from people whining about why favre doesnt have to be there but others do. There are about 6 or 7 elite qbs in the nfl and favre is one of them. So the vikings are willing to cut a 20 year veteran who is battling tons of different injuries and age from the daily grind of training camp. Favre proved last yr he didnt need it and did wonders. Only so much punishment u can put a body through at that age, so why waste some of it at camp. The only thing annoying about favre is how much people talk about it, when they know exactly whats going on.
It's all about producing. In both terms of wins and losses, and ticket sales and popularity. Based on last season there doesn't seem to be a problem with it, his teamates seemed fine with it once they started to win. Not even as extreme as Roger Clemens with the Astros towards the end. Those players earned it. There position is I'll play for you guys under these conditions or I just wont play anymore. Teams can take of leave it.
Perhaps ! Did they win the Super Bowl ? Who knows what might have gone down differently if He had took part in camp like everyone else did. Perhaps that last INT might not have happened.
