Im guessing yes, but he and jets are still long ways off in negotiations..Jets offering 5 mil/y, and he wants more than 16 mil/yr.

Is he going to sit out part of regular season..hardly ever happens in nfl..

i have a story about revis. hes a little younger, played pickup basketball with him a few times. he went to a rival high school, actually we would lose to his school every single time, so not much a rivalry. anyways, my team was on the court next and we were arguin with another team who was up and he backed me up and said my team was up, even though he knew the guys on the other team. thought that was kinda cool of him since he didnt know me. then he went to shitt, a university i hate, but i did like him after that day of bball. and yes i think hell be playing in week 1.

"My gut feeling is, I would say no," said Johnson. Added coach Rex Ryan: "I have no communication there from my end. ... We’ve got to prepare like he’s not going to be here." The Jets rejected a contract proposal from Revis and his agent, and now seem poised to take a hard-line stance. Perhaps talks will pick back up if the Jets suffer an injury in the secondary this preseason.

I still don't understand how he can just sit out. Isn't he under contract this year? I guess he shouldn't of signed the deal he signed if he didn't like it.

Exactly...him and his agent bitched his rookie year and heldout asking for a frontloaded contract. Jets bit and gave him what he wanted which said in the contract that he was get 1mill this year. He agreed and signed it. Now he's bitching about it b/c it's 1mill. He gets $5mill in 2011 and $10mill in 2012 guaranteed. If he doesn't play by Aug10th he forfits that $20mill guaranteed. Jets have him under contract for 3 more years. Not 1 not 2 but 3. He's fucking selfish. Yes he does deserve a little more money b/c he is straight nasty but come on man. You have 3 years left on the contract. Negotiate when you have 1 or 2. Not 3. I hate to say it as I'm a diehard Jets fan but they should just trade him.
